Donate

A contribution to help history and our museums thrive

Cash donations

Did you know that by donating to a charity like ours, you’ll receive a tax credit?

In addition, if you make a first donation to culture of $5,000 or more, you will receive an additional 25% tax credit on top of the credits already in effect! A donation of $5,000 could thus have a net cost of only $1,100 for the donor. Supporting the arts pays off for everyone!

Another way to give

Bequests

Of great value to the Laurier Museum Society, this is a simple way to leave a legacy for the preservation of heritage and the promotion of culture.

A bequest is a future commitment that does not affect your current financial security, as you retain control of your estate and the right to modify your gift during your lifetime.

How do I do it?

To make a bequest, simply name the Société Musée Laurier in your will as the beneficiary of an asset, a sum of money, or a portion of your estate.

Benefits

Your estate will receive a tax receipt for the total amount of the bequest, which will help reduce the tax liability upon your death. Bequests are tailored to your wishes, and no bequest is too small to make a difference.

Donating Artifacts

One of the Laurier Museum Society’s mandates is to acquire artifacts in accordance with its collection management policy, and to preserve, manage, and showcase them.

Donated objects must be appraised in order to issue a charitable donation receipt.
